MAGMA in Ankiros
MAGMA introduced the latest developments in all casting processes in the booth in Ankiros 15th International Iron – Steel, Foundry, Non Ferrous Metallurgy Technologies, Machinery and Products Trade Fair, held on 6-8 October 2022. In addition to many new contacts, regular customers of MAGMA, too, came to the booth to catch up on the latest developments.
After a long time, it has been a very busy and productive fair period in which face-to-face meetings and information exchange were held with the visitors at the MAGMA booth.
In addition, this year, as a fun activity at the MAGMA booth, the “Foundrymen’s Playground” playfully showed how easy it is to virtually optimize casting designs. There was a great interest in the activity where the participants tested their casting knowledge with “MAGMASOFT® Autonomous Engineering”. “Foundrymen´s Playground” activity aimed to find the optimum solution in terms of porosity, smooth filling and total cost (such as grinding, mold efficiency, number of sleeves used) by offering different feeder and runner alternatives to the participants. The visitors interactively run their own simulations in a virtual test field, while simultaneously pursuing different quality and cost-related objectives.
In the "Let's Have a Close Look to Casting" themed casting workshop jointly organized by MAGMA Academy and Turkish Foundry Association’s Academy, young people from universities and colleges interested in casting were informed about the details of the casting process and casting simulation. Our young people, who are interested in casting, had the opportunity to see the exact equivalent of the theoretical knowledge we gave as MAGMA Academy in the real castings that Master Cevdet received.
As in all technical congresses, MAGMA also contributed to the 11th International Casting Congress organization with a presentation titled "The Effect of Production Variables in Sand Casting on Process Robustness".
